El Poblado Ciclovía Loop
El Poblado · Medellín
Trail Run or City Run·10.25 km·166 m elevation·Closed road — smooth asphalt
About this route
Start at Parque El Poblado. Turn right with your back to the park and you're immediately in the best section — street vendors, live music, runners everywhere. About 1.5km in you'll pass the Santa Fe mall where Rumba and Zumba classes are happening on an elevated terrace above the road — you can see and hear them dancing as you run past. One of those only-in-Medellín moments. The road ends at 3.5km. Turn around here and you're back at the park having done 7km — perfect for a short run before breakfast. Want more distance? From the park continue in the opposite direction toward Laureles. The first 1.5km in this direction are still pleasant and very much in El Poblado. After that the road follows the highway which is less scenic — so turn back at 1.5km. The recommended loop is 10km total. Go right from the park for 3.5km to the end, then turn back to reach 7km. Continue past the park toward Laureles for another 1.5km, then turn back. You finish back at the park in the vibrant vendor section — perfectly timed for breakfast at one of the food stalls while the Sunday buzz is still going.
Safety
Car-free on Sundays. Stay aware of cyclists sharing the road.
