About this route
Every Sunday morning the roads around the Estadio Atanasio Girardot close to cars and become something completely different. Musicians set up on corners, free Zumba and Rumba classes spill onto the road, skaters weave between runners, parents teach their children to cycle, and dogs splash happily in the big fountain. People sell fresh fruit, vegetables and snacks from stalls lining the circuit. You can even rent skates on the spot if you feel like switching things up after your run. Run a loop or two around the stadium — the atmosphere is at its peak early. This is the kind of Sunday morning that reminds you why you travel.
