Laureles Estadio Tempo Loop

Laureles · Medellín

Tempo Run·1 km·7 m elevation

About this route

The road circling the Estadio Atanasio Girardot is a flat measured loop shared with morning runners and skaters — the mix gives it a lively, motivated atmosphere. The stadium complex has food and drink stalls inside if you need anything before or after. Easy to repeat as many laps as your session needs. A 10 minute walk or short taxi from most of Laureles.

🏗️ There is a running track inside the stadium complex currently under construction. When it reopens this will be one of the best interval spots in Medellín. If you visit and it's open, let us know via the Share a Route page so we can update this.

Safety

Watch for skaters sharing the circuit — keep your line predictable. Avoid on football match days as the area around the stadium gets very busy — matches are mostly weekend evenings so morning runs are rarely affected. Check the Atlético Nacional or Deportivo Independiente Medellín schedule if unsure.

Local tip

Weekday mornings are the sweet spot — quieter than weekends and the loop is yours. On Sundays skip this route and do the Laureles to El Poblado ciclovía instead — it's a far better Sunday morning experience.
