Running in San Gil

Calle 2 Out-and-Back

Starts near the town plaza and heads out along Calle 2, transitioning quickly into gravel/asphalt backcountry road. Hilly with rolling climbs (~260 m gain) — works well as a long steady run or interval session, since you can pick your own turnaround points. Traffic is light and you'll pass other local runners on this stretch. The road continues for 10 km, after which it's possible to loop back via the main San Gil–Charalá road — but that road carries bus traffic and isn't recommended. Better to run it as a straightforward out-and-back on Calle 2.
